SEEDGov, in our role as Governance Task Force and under the authority granted to ensure compliance with governance rules and proper execution of DAO selection processes, has reviewed all applications submitted in this thread. Below is the outcome of our review:
Qualified Applicants:
Flagged Applicants:
Applicants who qualified but we believe it is necessary to clarify their situations so that the DAO can take them into consideration when casting their vote.
-
TCook: SEEDGov has delegation teams involved in the governance of almost all the protocols where the applicant @Tcook claims to participate as a delegate: Uniswap, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Morpho. However, we have not been able to identify any DAO member known as ‘Tcook’ or similar within these communities. It is possible the applicant participates through an unnamed delegation team or uses a different username, but in any case, we were unable to verify their involvement, performance, expertise, skills, or track record as a delegate.
-
Curia: In their application, @Curia states that they act as delegates for 1inch and Cowswap, both of which are direct competitors of Velora. While they indicate they do not hold similar roles like those within the VGC and limit their involvement to governance participation, being a delegate still implies investing effort and resources in support of those protocols — in this case, two direct competitors.
Moreover, it’s important to note that @Laita, who will hold a passive seat in the VGC, has expressed concerns to us about this situation. Their team plans to share updates and strategic plans with the committee, which they may be reluctant to do in the presence of delegates actively engaged in the governance of competing protocols.
We consider this to be a borderline case, and we urge all delegates and tokenholders to carefully reflect on the potential conflict of interest before casting their votes.
Snapshot Voting:
The vote is now live on Snapshot.
We’ve set up a weighted voting system, allowing voters to use 100% of their voting power to support a single candidate, or distribute it across multiple applicants in any proportions you choose for each one.
Applicants are allowed to vote for themselves if they wish.
Please review all the applications and cast your vote to decide which 3 applicants will take a seat in the VGC Season 1! Snapshot Voting
