PIP-65 - Enhancing Predictability in VeloraDAO Governance

Ironically enough, we missed this vote due to being mostly OOO during the week when voting took place. Perhaps an automated message in the Delegate TG is a good (first) step?

PIP-66 - Deprecation of the Governance Committee

Pretty straightforward: we voted for this proposal as the GovCo no longer serves its original intent due to the automation of the gas/fee distributions, and this proposal seeks to bring an updated structure to the DAO. We elaborated on our position in the proposal thread follows:

Thank you for facilitating this @SEEDGov. We’ve already expressed our support for this move in the TG delegate chat, but would like to add our thoughts on a few comments made here in this thread:

• We disagree to some extent that delegates holding positions in other DAO structures like the VGC should be excluded as this does not really involve any decision making so there is little to no risk of “centralisation” in that sense. Plus, lowering the VP threshold is indeed a higher risk. But we are not against the idea for broader participation’s sake if a good enough threshold can be maintained.
• If some delegates feel that they require remuneration to perform this duty, we either remove the delegate slots and just stick to Laita + service providers, or pass it to someone else who’s happy to do it (though within reason of a VP threshold). How would you even price signing once a month? $50? Seems highly unnecessary and somewhat greedy even.
• Signing within 24hrs shouldn’t be an issue as long as signers are notified well in advance.
• Signers should most definitely be vetted beforehand, but we’d assume any added signers should have a trusted standing in the DAO before being onboarded.

PIP-67: Project Miro - Deployment of VLR on BSC

We voted for this proposal. Binance is more than a well-known brand in the space and this moves serves a greater purpose for Velora, and while not explicitly stated, likely a step towards getting VLR listed and possibly more. Hence, we support Laita and trust that they know what they are doing with regards to this partnership. Find a short comment from us in the proposal thread:

Having sat down with @0xYtocin recently during ETH Milan and heard the overall rationale for this, we have voted in support of this proposal.

Though we recognise and to some extent agree with the points highlighted by @AranaDigital @Mehdi, we understand there are greater goals that motives this move. While we understand that Laita are unable to yet fully disclose the details of this pipeline, we believe we need to show faith and trust in the team—which is what we’re doing here.
