About Us:

Argonaut is a team of highly motivated crypto enthusiasts eager to participate in governance and make meaningful improvements where we see opportunities. Our team is diverse, with expertise on DeFi analysis, smart contract development, and research.

We chose the name Argonaut to symbolize our commitment to governance across various DAOs. Like Jason’s mythological crew, we bring together a range of skills and a pioneering spirit, dedicated to exploring new challenges and leading with innovation in decentralized governance.

Main Focus:

Our focus areas are security, fairness, and innovation.

Conflicts of Interest:

As a young team, we are currently active only in Arbitrum, Uniswap, and Compound as delegates, but we plan to expand our involvement in other DAOs as we grow. We are committed to maintaining transparency in our decisions, with no hidden agendas.

We created this Delegate Platform to participate more actively and add value to the DAO.

Feel free to reach out if you think we can contribute to anything the DAO needs, and please consider delegating to us to keep us incentivized to continue contributing.

  • Proposal: PIP-59: Proposal for Returning 40.203 wETH to Bybit (After 10% Bounty Deduction)
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: After careful consideration, we have voted FOR this proposal to return the requested funds. As we stated in our comment, Paraswap should not benefit or profit from a crime that may also happen to us, and in this sense all protocols should work side by side to reduce as much as possible the damage that hackers can do. We understand those who are concerned about more claims indicating that scammers have also used Paraswap to steal funds from them, nevertheless we consider this case to be quite different since it’s been verified the authenticity of the claim by an official account of Bybit, therefore the account that created this claim as we indicated in our comment is legitimate, unlike what may happen with other claimants. It would not make sense to face legal implications for keeping these funds and considering how they were originated while it is still possible to return them, not to mention that the protocol still wins by keeping a portion (40.203 wETH instead of 44.67wETH) from the HackBounty program as indicated in the proposal itself.
  • Proposal: PIP-60 - Expansion of Project Miro token and staking system to Base
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team voted FOR this proposal. We share the expressed thoughts about this deployment of Project Miro token to Base as being quite benefitial for ParaSwap DAO across rollups in terms of growth and security, but this whole idea also brings a sort of freedom for stakers as to where and how they would like to claim their rewards which is an innovation we strongly support.
  • Proposal: PIP-61: Increase Quorum Threshold
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: We agree that the quorum threshold was low, especially considering the circulating supply of PSP. Additionally, the community’s feedback was taken into account, and the proposal was adjusted accordingly. For all these reasons, we support this proposal and voted For.
  • Proposal: PIP-62 - Velora Governance Task Force
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: We voted FOR this proposal because we trust what SeedGov is and does not only in the DAO, but as a professional team of delegates in all DAOs in general. We believe there is no doubt how much the ParaSwap DAO has grown under their leadership, so having them as DAO facilitators is quite valuable from our side. The initiatives proposed by SeedGov have had the expected positive impact and there is now a lot of movement and engagement in the DAO that was not there before and it is all because of these initiatives, so it is hard to be against this proposal with such positive results and background for SeedGov as an active participant in the DAO. As for the proposed new scope, role and even budget, we think everything looks more than reasonable, so not much to say about these aspects. We are eager to see SeedGov become a DAO facilitator and the planned actions already become true.

  • Proposal: Rewards distribution for Epoch 29
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Keeping in mind the rationale we published about the distribution of gas refunds for Epoch 29, and that this proposal is related to it, we also voted in favor of this proposal to be consistent with our previously published thinking about everything related to PIP-55 and the completion of Epoch 29.
  • Proposal: PIP-63 - ParaSwap Growth Working Group Outcome - Velora Growth Framework (VGF) and Velora Growth Committee (VGC)
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: We voted FOR this proposal. We would like to thank the PGWG not only for their work so far, which has proven to be so valuable, but also for their final deliverable being this proposal, which leaves room for the VGF and VGC to take over from here. Counting with this framework, which sets the bases to enable and promote growth, is a must for the DAO, as well as a permanent body like the VGC, which remains responsible for this framework and its correct application. We reaffirm that having this entity in the DAO is a must, not only because of what we have seen as similar programs or bodies in other DAOs, but also because of what the proposal indicates: “This structure empowers the DAO to mobilize aligned contributors and drive expansion with accountability and efficiency”, so having a committee that advocates for these specific goals is essential for all of us. As for the implementation times and budget requested, we see them as reasonable for a proposal of this nature, so there is nothing to argue about.
  • Proposal: Velora Growth Committee (VGC) - Election Season 1
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: 100% for Pgov
  • Reasoning: We thank all the applicants who submitted their applications to be part of the Velora Growth Committee. We have reviewed them all, yet we made our decision to go 100% for Pgov because we know them well from other protocols and know how much value they can provide in this committee which aims at growth, also we believe they are the right team or have the necessary expertise to become part of this initiative from the very start.
  • Proposal: PIP-64: Formalisation of Laita Labs as a Service Provider
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: We definitely voted for this formalization, which aims to have better defined roles within the DAO, thus avoiding confusion and bringing more transparency and clarity for all of us. Also, Laita Labs has been part of the protocol since its inception and has been doing exceptional work without being paid for it. It makes perfect sense to officially include them in this role as part of the DAO, as they are core contributors who have earned the honor to fill this position. We hope to see them continue to do their work in the same way they have all along.
  • Proposals: PIP-67: Project Miro - Deployment of VLR on BSC
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team supports the deployment of VLR on BSC because we recognize the importance of expanding our ecosystem and enhancing the interoperability of our services. Initiating this project aligns with our strategic objective to increase user engagement and transaction volumes through robust cross-chain functionality. By leveraging the benefits of BSC, we can capture a broader audience and create new opportunities for collaboration among projects. Our collective belief is that this initiative will significantly contribute to the sustainable growth and scalability of our operations in the DeFi space.
  • Proposals: Gas Refunds distribution for Epoch 32
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team strongly supports the proposal for gas refunds to be distributed for Epoch 32. We recognize the significant impact that these refunds will have on our community, particularly for those who participate actively in our ecosystem.
  • Proposals: Rewards distribution for Epoch 32
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that the proposal for the rewards distribution for Epoch 32 is critical to maintaining the integrity and continuity of our reward mechanisms. We have seen successful distributions in prior epochs, which establishes a reliable precedent for automating this process. The distribution of 28.26 wETH, along with clearly specified Merkle roots for Ethereum and Optimism, underlines our commitment to transparency and accuracy. Recognizing WakeUp Labs’ minimal distribution fee of 0.21 wETH further enhances our confidence in the operational efficiency of this proposal.
  • Proposals: Gas Refunds distribution for Epoch 33
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that the gas refunds distribution for Epoch 33 is a necessary continuation of our support for the staking community. This proposal, distributing approximately 130,453 sePSP1 tokens, reflects our commitment to rewarding those who actively participate in staking. We have verified the proposed distribution methodology and find that it remains transparent and auditable, minimizing the risk of errors. This initiative not only reinforces our reputation for reliability but also enhances the long-term incentives for our stakers.

  • Proposals: Rewards distribution for Epoch 33
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that the proposal to distribute rewards for Epoch 33 is consistent with our ongoing commitment to incentivizing active participation in our staking mechanism. We have reviewed the underlying calculations and distribution process, confirming their accuracy and reliability. We voted in favor because upholding these distributions is essential to maintaining the trust and engagement of our community members.
  • Proposals: PIP-68 - Upgrade VeloraDAO’s space to Snapshot Pro
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that upgrading VeloraDAO’s governance space to Snapshot Pro is a crucial step towards enhancing our decision-making capabilities. The annual investment of $6,000 is justified by the preservation of the essential split-delegation feature, which is vital for ensuring fair representation and maintaining quorum reliability within our governance structure. While the additional features such as increased proposal capacity and enhanced voting options may enhance our operations, the primary goal is to secure our existing functionalities against potential disruptions. We voted in favor because this upgrade positions us effectively for future growth while safeguarding our current governance needs.
  • Proposals: PIP-69 - Velora Treasury Management
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that implementing a dedicated Treasury Manager is a critical step in enhancing the financial governance of Velora DAO. We support this proposal because it introduces a structured approach to managing our assets, particularly in today’s rapidly changing crypto market. By appointing Avantgarde, who possesses a deep understanding of our protocol and treasury needs, we are confident in establishing a solid management framework that prioritizes sustainability and risk mitigation. This role is essential for ensuring that our treasury is preserved and grows effectively over time. We appreciate the planned oversight and professionalism this move will bring as we navigate the complexities ahead.

  • Proposals: PIP-70 - Velora Contributors Program (VCP) - Cycle 2 Renewal
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team supports the renewal of the Velora Contributors Program (VCP) for Cycle 2, as we believe it is essential for fostering an engaged and productive community. The proposal effectively introduces a balanced framework that differentiates between standard delegate duties and extraordinary contributions, allowing us to incentivize high-impact efforts while maintaining treasury sustainability. The adjustments made in Cycle 2, particularly the introduction of Contributor Points, offer a progressive step forward, encouraging delegates to pursue more meaningful contributions that directly benefit Velora’s growth and success. We appreciate the emphasis on raising expectations and motivation within our community, which aligns with our objective of promoting excellence in governance and contribution. Overall, we feel that this structured approach not only recognizes varied contributions but also positions the DAO for continued success as we navigate future challenges and opportunities
  • Proposals: Gas Refunds distribution for Epoch 34
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team supports the proposal for gas refunds for Epoch 34 due to the importance of maintaining consistency in our funding approach across epochs. We believe that timely compensations are vital for our community’s engagement, reinforcing our commitment to fair reimbursements while upholding a balanced budget. Overall, we are confident in this initiative and encourage its approval.

  • Proposals: Rewards distribution for Epoch 34
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: FOR
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that continuing to support the rewards distribution for Epoch 34 aligns with our commitment to uphold the foundational principles of transparency and accountability established in our previous decisions. Given this consistency with past distributions, we feel confident in our decision and are pleased to reinforce the expectations that have been set for our community. Therefore, we voted in favor of this proposal as it promotes ongoing support for our contributors and reflects positively on our governance approach.
  • Proposals: PIP-71: VeloraDAO Sponsorship of Governance Day 2025 – Buenos Aires
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: Sponsor Gov Day - Gold tier
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that supporting the sponsorship of Governance Day 2025 in Buenos Aires at the Gold tier is a strategic investment for VeloraDAO. This sponsorship aligns with our commitment to enhancing visibility within the governance space and allows us to engage with leading organizations. We recognize the value of in-person interactions and believe that participating in such a prominent event will foster new partnerships and elevate our brand presence. While we acknowledge concerns regarding cost-effectiveness, we feel that the Gold tier represents a balanced approach to achieving significant outreach and engagement for VeloraDAO.
  • Proposals: PIP-72 - Liquidity Funding for Futarchy Experimentation in Velora Governance
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: For
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that the proposed liquidity funding for a futarchy pilot is an innovative initiative that reflects a cautious yet strategic approach to improving governance within Velora DAO. We feel that this approach is well-structured, allowing for clear participant engagement and transparent metrics to gauge the quality of insights gathered. The minimal risk associated with impermanent loss encourages us to support this pilot, as it allows for the exploration of futarchy mechanisms without significant financial exposure. Ultimately, our vote in favor underscores our commitment to exploring solutions that could enhance the governance process for all members.
  • Proposals: Gas Refunds distribution for Epoch 35
  • Platform: Snapshot
  • Vote: For
  • Reasoning: Our team believes that the gas refunds distribution for Epoch 35 is a necessary step in maintaining our commitment to supporting our stakeholders.
