Delegate Activation Program for Content Production

This is a crucial moment for the Velora protocol, marked by a broader rebranding process (from ParaSwap to Velora), the upcoming launch of its new VLR token, the development and rollout of new features such as the cross-chain swap, and the announcement of important new strategic partnerships.

Laita as a service providers, is making a significant effort, leading both the development and marketing of these changes, but we believe the DAO and its delegates should actively join these efforts — and have the means to do so — in order to become a key piece in the growth and success of the protocol, which should be the ultimate goal guiding all DAO activity.

In this context, in our role as part of the Governance Task Force (GTF) we present the Delegate Activation Program for Content Production. The aim is to encourage delegates to create valuable content that contributes to awareness, user education, audience growth, and overall engagement for the protocol.

This program is not only timely, given the major changes the protocol is undergoing, but also aligns with the launch of the Velora Community Mirror, recently presented by the Velora Growth Committee (VGC).

Content Scope

Examples of possible content include:

  1. Rebranding awareness content and strategies: Delegates using their presence in other communities to facilitate Velora’s onboarding and propose actionable strategies to activate the new brand.
  2. VLR token: Support the launch and promotion of VLR.
  3. Positioning research: Reports analyzing VeloraDAO’s position in the broader DeFi ecosystem, and how we can grow from here.
  4. Data positioning analysis: Summaries of Velora’s trading volume and performance, key partnerships (e.g., Morpho), and/or active features (key protocol features and newly launched functionalities).
  5. Other topics: Any other relevant topic that contributes to understanding or promoting Velora during this pivotal phase. These themes are simply illustrative examples meant to inspire contributions—any relevant angle that adds value to Velora’s ecosystem is welcome.

Content Requirements

  • Language: English
  • Format: Mirror or Medium Post
  • Extension: Around 5-minute read or 1,000 words.

Quality standards

It is extremely important that all content is high quality and factually accurate. Otherwise, it will not be eligible for publication or promotion through official channels.

For this reason, the GTF with active participation from Laita (given its role as a service provider in marketing facilitation activities), will curate all submissions. Only those meeting high standards will be considered.

Content Guidelines

To ensure quality, consistency, and impact, all content submitted must meet the following criteria:

  • Originality: All content must be original and created by the delegate submitting it and will be verified it to ensure that it has not been copied and pasted or generated by AI without significant human input.
  • Clarity and Engagement: Submissions should be easy to read, engaging, and avoid excessive technical jargon. Whenever possible, posts should include visual elements such as images, charts, or diagrams to enhance understanding and appeal.
  • High Quality: The content should reflect a strong level of insight, structure, and polish. Only high-quality submissions that demonstrate thoughtful analysis or storytelling will be considered.
  • Accuracy: All facts, figures, and data referenced must be accurate and properly researched. Posts should not contain misinformation or unverifiable claims.
  • Velora Focus: Submissions must be centered around Velora. Topics can include (but are not limited to) the ones listed in the ‘Content Scope’ section.

Deadline

Delegates interested in participating have until Friday, August 15 to submit their content.

Submission

Interested delegates should inform at any time their intention to join the program and share in this thread which subject they have chosen as the focus of their piece. If they later decide to shift focus and write about a different topic, we ask that they update it in this thread accordingly. This is purely for informational purposes, so that other delegates are aware of which topics are already being covered.

While we encourage covering a variety of topics, more than one delegates may choose to write about the same subject. In such cases, we kindly ask those delegates to coordinate with each other to avoid unnecessary overlap and explore complementary angles that allow the topic to be addressed from different perspectives.

Once a delegate has finished a piece, they should inform it in this thread and share the content to any SEEDGov member before the deadline.

Distribution

Approved content will be published in the Velora Community Mirror and may be boosted via Velora’s official channels.

Incentives

To encourage delegates to generate valuable content, in our role as Program Manager of the Delegate Incentive Program, we establish that delegates who submit high-value content that is suitable for publication and diffusion through Velora’s official channels will be highly rated and considered for the calculation of the ‘delegate feedback’ section of the Delegate Program for the month of August, thus gaining access to a higher tier of compensation.

In the event that a delegate submits a contribution deemed highly valuable and extraordinary and after their publication generates significant positive impact through increased engagement, visibility, or meaningful traction on social media or other distribution channels—and if that delegate would already qualify for Tier 1 in the Delegates Program based on their overall activity, we will consider the possibility of requesting additional funds from the DAO to retroactively reward the effort in order to allow a compensation that exceeds the amount of Tier 1 cap, as a way to properly recognize the exceptional quality and impact of the contribution.

Pilot Test

This initiative will also serve as a pilot test to evaluate the direct involvement of delegates in activities that generate positive impact for the protocol.

The results of this experience will be considered when designing potential updates for Cycle 2 of the Delegate Incentives Program, with the goal of increasing the weight of extra-governance contributions that demonstrably support Velora’s growth and success.

Good luck to all — we look forward to seeing your work!

Brand awareness and showing off the power of our protocol is very much needed after the rebrand. So I have some suggestions that could enhance the program now or in a newer version of the program.

First, I suggest adding a wider variety of activities and content creation formats to the program to increase the incentivization of consistent promotion across popular socials like X, Telegram, Medium, etc.

This can also include content in non-English languages to help spread the word about Velora. Since we don’t have language-specific Discord channels at the moment, this could help us grow our non-English community as well.

Another idea is to consider even small promotions across socials as part of the program. For example, I can easily post a comparison of Velora Quotes vs others to highlight the power of the Velora Protocol. After all, not all delegates may be able to write high-quality Medium posts, but they might be good at short, engaging tweets that quickly draw the public’s attention.

I’d also suggest adding consistency of content production as a bonus in the program, so each delegate can act like an independent marketer for the Velora brand.

Lastly, considering the small market cap of $VLR, along with its sustainability and growth potential, we could include writing investment theses in the program and invite third parties outside the DAO to contribute professionally.

Thank you very much for the valuable feedback and ideas!

This is indeed a very small trial program for a specific need that we have discussed with Velora. However, if it turns out as expected, your suggestions are in fact ideas that we are evaluating to implement in September, when we discuss the possible renewal of the Delegate Program and the role of delegates at this moment in the protocol.

Thanks for putting together this initiative. We appreciate the effort to activate delegates through content creation, especially at such a crucial time for Velora’s rebranding and the upcoming VLR token launch.

One suggestion we’d like to raise is around incentive clarity. While the proposal mentions that exceptional contributions may be rewarded beyond the Tier 1 cap, it doesn’t clearly outline the baseline rewards for each tier or what “above Tier 1” could realistically look like. As potential contributors, it would be helpful for us, and likely others, to have a better understanding of what the incentive structure looks like so we can evaluate the time and effort needed for a high-quality submission.

We believe that providing even a rough range or framework for incentives would help encourage broader participation and ensure aligned expectations from the start.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this pilot develops. Thanks again for pushing this forward.

Hi! We understand the concerns you’ve raised. Some of the rough edges in the program — like the incentive structure — stem from the fact that it was designed on a very short timeline to meet the protocol’s immediate needs. The main goal was to ensure that the DAO could produce a few high-quality pieces by mid-August to support Laita’s broader communication efforts during this period.

Designing a highly detailed, well-calibrated incentive system — as we’re used to doing — would have taken more time, and we wouldn’t have been able to meet the protocol’s short-term priorities. That’s why we chose to launch this pilot program with the tools currently available, with the understanding that, if successful, it can be refined and improved going forward.

As for the incentive mechanics of this test phase, the idea is to work within the existing Delegate Program framework. Delegates who produce content that is both high-quality and accurate — and that Laita can use to support its communications — will be eligible to move up one tier in the program. For example: If you were eligible for Tier 3 in August based on your regular activity, this contribution could move you to Tier 2. If you qualified for Tier 2, you could move to Tier 1. And if you were already at Tier 1, and the contribution is especially valuable and impactful, we would consider proposing to the DAO additional funds for retroactive compensate you for that extra effort.

We know this incentive system is not perfect, but it reflects the tools and conditions we have at this moment — a moment when the protocol needs the DAO’s collaboration. If the program meets our expectations and the DAO produces some valuable pieces, the program will be refined for future continuity.

The DAP is a smart, lightweight way to rally delegates around Velora’s re-brand and the re-token launch. Building on @Mehdi’s point about reaching non-English teams and content, we could broaden the “Content Scope” to explicitly include short-form translation bounties or shared design assets so delegates without long-form writing chops and English skill can still contribute. Maybe having a simple brand kit—standard hashtags, logo variants, and a one-page style guide—would keep these diverse formats on-message and make life easier for creators.

Several commenters also asked for clearer rewards. Echoing @Curia, it may help to publish a quick reference table that shows the current Delegate Program tiers alongside the one-tier bump this pilot offers, plus illustrative examples of what an “extraordinary” contribution might earn. Even if the numbers stay flexible, that transparency sets expectations and lets delegates gauge the ROI of deeper research or data-heavy pieces.

This is a good program to see, and the considerations around distribution are appreciated. Even the most well-crafted, insightful pieces risk going unnoticed if they aren’t shared widely. High-quality content without distribution is essentially yelling into the void. Once the SeedGov team evaluates and approves a piece, particularly those in a substantial long-form format, the content should be adapted for optimal reach. While also being published on the on Mirror, which acts more like an archive, those long-form articles could also be posted using X’s “extended tweets” functionality to make them easily consumable. This could also make it easier for a Velora account to RT/QRT.

It may also be helpful to have a “bulletin board” of timely topics that either the VGC or Laita think are of highest impact. This thread could simply support this.

We also like the above idea. It would be harder to justify posting this on the community Mirror and attain promotion from a Velora account (legal reasons, financial advice issues, etc), but this type of post often does well on socials. And since price action of a token often begets protocol growth in general, this type of content could be helpful. Maybe in these situations delegates like @Ignas can help with distribution, which may warrant further rewarding the distributing account as well.

Great to see Velora DAO look into marketing - we use Velora all the time for swaps but don’t see much chatter about it on Twitter or elsewhere, which is a shame.

We are a DeFi newsletter, research team, and have also worked with projects in the past to help them market their products and launches, so we’re happy to participate but we have two challenges:

  1. We didn’t get into the DIP in time for August, so if there are delegate incentives or bonus points it seems we would not qualify, which is a shame because we would love to participate in this otherwise.
  2. It’s not super clear what the incentives here are. As a newsletter we’re always happy to cover any relevant product news but for extra marketing content we would need explicit incentives to work on it.

It’s not really clear that there’s a reason this needs to be closed off to delegates and especially DIP members- it may be beneficial to expand the program in general to anyone interested in doing this who also has a decent social media reach, and also outline specific compensation or incentives.

Hi!

In effect, this is not an open grant program, but rather a specific delegate activation program aimed at delegates who are part of the Delegate Program and who are therefore receiving compensation, with the aim of increasing their Tier (and compensation) if they produce valuable content.

However, if you would like to contribute to the DAO, you can generate a piece of content, and if it meets the required quality standards (highly valuable and extraordinary contribution and after their publication generates significant positive impact through increased engagement, visibility, or meaningful traction on social media or other distribution channels) and Laita decides to distribute it, we can assist you in requesting retroactive funds from the DAO -equivalent funds to what a delegate in this program could achieve- to reward the effort, within the context of the second paragraph of the ‘Incentive’ section:

I believe empowering delegates to contribute to content production can significantly strengthen Velora’s reach, diversify its voice, and test a more holistic incentive model.

This program will also increase delegate engagement and responsibility, as creating content requires time and dedication.

It will help the community and token holders recognize delegates as active representatives, ultimately improving transparency and strengthening Velora’s sense of community.

Regarding the Evaluation Process, I see the proposal already outlines quality principles under Content Guidelines, which is a great starting point. It would be even more helpful to have a more detailed checklist or scoring framework so delegates can clearly understand how their content will be evaluated.

As the co‑founder of a Creator Studio - Pink Brains, focused on elevating quality projects through authentic representation, we look forward to participating in this program.

Thank you @SEEDGov for yet another solid proposal. While not perfect, we like this initiative a lot and believe that focusing the content production to delegates initially makes sense, and spares us both time and resources related to content evaluation while also serving as a form of quality control. Not sure if it’s reasonable to open the content production for payment up to everybody, could add a lot of admin overhead and wasted time going through average to poor ChatGPT generated content. Depending on the level of activity from delegates, we could consider open the program up to established writers/KOLs with a significant audience if we deem activity to be too low.

Questions for clarity: Do I understand it correctly that the deadline is simply for delegates to announce their interest in participating in content production (rather than submit actual content)? What purpose does this serve other than preventing delegates who don’t sign up to later produce and share content should they wish to? Could it not just be an open rolling program for all delegates?

Hi Ignas, that’s great! We look forward to seeing your contribution!

Hi, thanks for the feedback! This is a pilot program designed in response to specific needs discussed with Laita to count with some high-quality content pieces by mid-month (hence the August 15 deadline) so that the DAO can support and amplify Laita’s communication efforts during this crucial time.

If the program meets expectations, our intention is to incorporate it permanently into Cycle 2 of the Delegates Program, which we are currently drafting and plan to submit for community discussion in the coming days.

The Friday, August 15 deadline refers to the date by which interested delegates must submit their content, by sharing it with any SEEDGov member and announcing it on the forum.

There are only a few days left — we look forward to seeing several delegates participating!

We support this initiative and think it’s a very good starting point, even if there are a few areas that remain unclear.

Given the short-term needs it aims to address, the approach is reasonable and fits the moment well. The finer points can be addressed after this trial, using the lessons learned to design a more refined framework for the future.

There is one week left until the deadline!!!

We hope that several delegates will participate and send us the some content by next Friday, August 15!

Jumping in to support this, great initiative.

I’m confirming my participation in the DAP. I’ll have ready by Friday something that I’ve been drafting for past couple days, that hopefully helps new and existing users understand what Velora is up to and why it matters.

Our team is preparing an upcoming piece: “From PSP to VLR: Inside Velora’s Token Transformation”, covering the VLR token’s rebranding, updated tokenomics, utilities, and the different ways to earn it.

We will submit the content before the deadline, and hope the content will help the community better understand Velora’s vision and future direction.

We would like to inform the community that the following delegates have already shared content with us:

  • Curia:

  • Ignas:

  • Jameskbh:

  • Wakeup Labs

  • Citizen42

And DAOplomtas expressed his intention to participate and share his piece on Friday.

After Friday, when the program deadline closes, we will contact Laita and the VGC to read and analyze all contributions and coordinate their possible diffusion, all of which will be properly communicated to the contributing delegates and the community.

Thank you for participating.
