Invitation to Community Call / AMA - Thursday 27th February 2025 at 5pm UTC

Given the recent events and updates in the DAO in the last few weeks, we understand that it will be of great interest to organise again an AMA or Community Call with the community.

We had intended to hold it this week but there are many delegates, Laita staff and stakeholders travelling to ETH Denver, so we thought it best to postpone it for a week and make sure as many people as possible can attend.

Consequently, we will be holding an AMA / Community Call in the Community Hall channel of the ParaSwap Discord on Thursday next week (27th February) at 5pm UTC. We would like to invite all members of the ParaSwap community, all delegates and @laita members to attend.

Tentatively, we would like to discuss the following topics:

What other hot topics would you like to see discussed? Please leave your questions.

What is laita labs’ vision for the aggregators market in the future? What is the strategic positioning of paraswap/Miro compared to competitors. Have an overview. (without revealing anything sensitive)

Hi,

Given the recent Bybit hack and the hackers’ use of ParaSwap to swap their funds, some are worried that their wallets might get flagged if they receive these revenues. I’d like us to discuss this during the next community call to clarify things and reassure the community.

Thanks!

It is definitely should be clarified to avoid AML problems in future.

hey fren, it does raises some q’s and perhaps we can look at Chainalysis or CipherTrace they can help with compliance but they’re blunt tools in a decentralized space.
They reduce illicit activity but introduce surveillance making it a trade-off between regulation and decentralization. The question is: how much compromise would the community be willing to accept? … I will bring it up at the meet tomz nonetheless, this area of the sector is a little grey and hard to enforce anything considering the decentralisation involved in smart contracts and Ethereum as a whole

What I have commonly seen among projects, especially DEXs, is the use of Chainalysis to prevent flagged wallets from interacting with the UI. Of course, at the protocol level, we may not be able to impose restrictions due to the decentralized nature, but implementing restrictions at the UI level is a common practice and our primary choice at this stage. We should discuss this on the call.
