PIP-71: VeloraDAO Sponsorship of Governance Day 2025 – Buenos Aires

On November 14, the fourth edition of Governance Day took place as part of Devconnect. The event featured prominent speakers from across the ecosystem, who discussed a variety of topics, as shown in the agenda:

Approximately 250 attendees participated, including operators from major DAOs, delegates, and various service providers. Here is the first recap.

Regarding VeloraDAO’s participation, the delegations from Curia, Wakeup Labs, DAOplomats, Beni, and SEEDGov coordinated with the event organizers beforehand and provided on-site support during the event. VeloraDAO hosted a booth located in the central hall, next to the main stage entrance, fully branded with the protocol’s identity:

The screen provided by the organizers displayed a QR code linking to a one-pager with information about the DAO and the protocol:

Additionally, a POAP collectible was prepared for this event, which could be minted via QR or NFC:

Thanks to Oxytosin, the booth counted with around 20 beautiful pins that were handed out to visitors who showed genuine interest in Velora:

Throughout the eight-hour event (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), the booth was continuously staffed by DAO delegates (members of Curia, Wakeup Labs, DAOplomats, Beni, and SEEDGov) with at least two people present at all times. They provided information about the protocol, shared the QR code for the one-pager, and dispensed the POAP.

As a result, we can affirm that the participation was successful and met the intended objectives:

  • Velora’s presence and image were visible at the event, on flyers, booth, and in conversations, helping to intensify communication about the rebranding and new features.

  • Gonzalo from Wakeup Labs, representing VeloraDAO, spoke on the panel “DAO Stack Essentials: Where tooling is needed most.”

  • Other Velora delegates also participated as speakers or panelists, including members of Avantgarde, Arana Digital, Curia, and 0xAlex.

  • Topics such as Futarchy were discussed, an area where VeloraDAO is a pioneer and is beginning to experiment through PIP-72.

  • Many people visited the booth, ranging from those unfamiliar with the protocol seeking to learn more, to others already aware of it and interested in establishing different types of connections.

  • 40 attendees minted the POAP. Considering there were 250 participants in total, and not everyone uses or has the POAP app installed, this is a very strong result.

  • A significant number of attendees scanned the QR code linking to Velora’s information.

  • All 20 pins were distributed to individuals who demonstrated genuine interest in Velora, minted the POAP, and reviewed the one-pager.

  • Several DAO service providers approached the booth to present their offerings. While many are not currently needed, they remain as useful contacts for future needs.

  • SEEDGov initiated direct conversations with a highly reputable group in the ecosystem that offers financial solutions, including token growth tools. These discussions will resume in the coming days to assess whether their services align with Velora’s needs.

Challenge

All Velora delegates who participated and were present at the booth came away with the same impression: many attendees were not familiar with Velora; however, once informed that it is the rebranded name of ParaSwap, they recognized it as a well-regarded OG protocol, though they were unaware of the rebranding. We believe it is important for everyone involved in Velora to intensify communication efforts to reinforce awareness of the rebranding.
